The Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks meet on Wednesday as each team looks to improve its conference standings before the start of the NBA playoffs.  The game tips off at 9:30 p.m. ET and can be watched below via the live stream.

Dallas (46-31) heads into Wednesday's contest looking to avoid its third straight loss.  Although the Mavericks have already clinched a playoff spot, they're looking to build a little momentum to take into the playoffs.  In addition to wanting to end the regular season on a high note, Dallas will have to tinker with its rotations to make up for the losses of Chandler Parsons and Rajon Rondo, both of who are sidelined with knee injuries.

"We've got to make the best of whatever the situation is," said coach Rick Carlisle, according to ESPN. "We want to win games. We've got to follow the process to put ourselves in a position to do that. Part of the process is the healing of guys that are injured, and part of it is to continue to work to get better as a team with the guys that are available."

The Mavericks have only won two of their last eight games, with their latest defeats coming against the Houston Rockets and the Golden State Warriors.

"My biggest concern is playing the right way," center Tyson Chandler said of his team, which currently holds the West's seventh seed. "If we're playing the right way, the right type of basketball, going into the playoffs, I feel like we're a dangerous team. If we're not playing, I don't care if we're the No. 3 seed, it don't matter. You're going to make an early exit anyway."

While Phoenix (39-39) isn't mathematically out of the playoffs, every win matters.  The Suns, who've lost six of their last seven games, are 3 1/2 games behind the New Orleans for the West's last playoff berth.
