Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are taking a "breather."

The "Amazing Spider-Man" co-stars have reportedly decided to take a break from their relationship after three years of dating, according to a report from People. A source claimed that the pair's hectic work schedules forced them to call it quits.

Both Stone and Garfield reportedly want to focus on their careers.

Garfield is currently on location in Taiwan filming Martin Scorsese's latest film "Silence," which is scheduled to wrap up in May. Stone has been seen spending time in Los Angeles and recently wrapped up production for Cameron Crowe's film "Aloha," also co-starring Bradley Cooper. She also has Woody Allen's "Irrational Man" coming out in July.

"He's thrown himself in the project to the detriment of all else, but it's too early to say the relationship is over," a source said. "Emma understands his work anxieties - it's why she originally pulled out of Cabaret last year and only did it this year - but they're taking a break from seeing each other."

The source added, "They're both a slave to their schedules. This time last year they were privately discussing marriage. It's one of those situations where only Andrew and Emma quite know if they'll pick up where they left off or they've separated."

It may not be a secret that the couple has been more distant with each other. Garfield was MIA during his ladylove's big nights at the 2015 Oscars and Golden Globes. The two were last photographed holding hands in early January while having lunch in New York City.

The source is also claiming that the couple's current relationship status is only temporary, saying, "They are just separated for work. Andrew is overseas. They are both busy with their careers and have not seen each other."

Representatives for Stone and Garfield have not commented on the separation rumors.
