Jordan Matthews doesn't believe the Philadelphia Eagles need a so-called No. 1 wide receiver despite the departure of Jeremy Maclin and his 85 catches, 1,318 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.

Matthews thinks that what the team really needs is a receiving corps willing to work hard, playing physical football, block like mad in the running game and make the important catches when they're asked to.

As it currently stands, Matthews, Riley Cooper, Josh Huff and the recently signed Miles Austin comprise the entirety of the - mostly - legitimate receiving talent on the Eagles roster.

To that end, it has been surmised by many that Eagles head coach Chip Kelly will look to the 2015 NFL Draft for an addition or two to that very receiving corps - presumably additions that work hard, block and make timely receptions.

Kelly, according to a report form Aaron Wilson of The National Football Post, conducted a private workout on Thursday with a couple of Florida State wide receivers; Rashad Greene and Christian Green.

Greene, 5-foot-11, 182-pounds, ran a 4.53 40 at the NFL rookie scouting combine, per Wilson, and added a 36 1/2 inch vertical and a 10-2 broad jump. He finished his Seminoles career with 270 receptions for 3,830 yards. Last year, he nabbed 99 catches for 1,365 yards and seven touchdowns.

"Very productive in big games and at big times," reads NFL.com's Lance Zierlein's draft profile of the silky wideout. "Greene has the athleticism and quicks to get open and has a natural smoothness in his routes. He might get pigeon-holed into a slot position, but that might not be a bad thing. Greene needs more route polish but should be able to compete for snaps right away."

Kelly has shown interest in a number of receiving options already this offseason, but it's unclear what skillset exactly he's targeting. He seems to prefer versatility, intelligence and a love for the game first and foremost, but he's also said to prefer stronger players able to come down with contested catches and break tackles once they have the ball in their hands.

Kelly also seems to have his sights set on the slot position in the 2015 NFL Draft - Greene, like USC's Nelson Agholor, another player Kelly was reported to have worked out in a private session recently, seems best suited to that role at the next level.

The other Green, 6-foot-1, 196-pounds, posted 40-yard dashes of 4.47 and 4.49 at the Florida State Pro Day. He added a 10-2 broad jump and a 34-inch vertical leap.

He finished his FSU career with just 48 receptions for 760 yards and one touchdown but, according to Wilson, is considered by many to be an ascending player.

"It went really well, I ran some routes and did some board work," Green said, per Wilson. "I had a good experience. You could definitely tell coach Kelly has a creative offense and puts his players in the best position to attack the defense and make big plays. It was good being around him and getting to know him. The Eagles said I did well and ran good routes and showed good hands."
