Free agent Michael Crabtree doesn't plan to sign with a team just for the sake of it.  Despite reportedly drawing interest from a number of teams, including the San Francisco 49ers, the San Diego Chargers and the Miami Dolphins, Crabtree is content to wait until the right situation presents itself.

Crabtree remains a free agent after hitting the market on March 10.  Despite being one of the top receivers available, he remains unemployed.  According to CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco, it's because Crabtree wants to wait for the ideal situation.

"(Crabtree) is willing to wait however long it takes to find an appealing situation for the 2015 season, sources told CSNBayArea.com," Maiocco wrote Tuesday.  "The 49ers are interested in re-signing Crabtree, but the six-year veteran prefers to seek a contract with a team that places a greater emphasis on the passing game, according to a league source at the NFL owners meetings."

The only team Crabtree has visited with is Miami, Maiocco wrote.  Crabtree met with Dolphins coaches and officials last week, but no contract came of it.  San Francisco is also interested in bringing Crabtree back, per Maiocco, but only for less than the $5.33 million per season he averaged previously with them.  With the 49ers' recent signing of receiver Torrey Smith, Crabtree would also likely see fewer snaps if he re-signed with San Francisco.

In addition to Miami and San Francisco, ESPN reported Washington as being interested in Crabtree.

Crabtree finished the 2014 season with 68 receptions for 698 yards and four touchdowns.
