While it probably won't come as a surprise to anyone that a member of the Arizona Cardinals franchise would be onboard with the potential acquisition of All World running back Adrian Peterson, it's at least slightly more noteworthy due to the fact that the player in question is future Hall of Famer, wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald, while appearing at the Pro-Am of the LPGA Founders Cup on Wednesday, addressed the swirling rumors of Petersons unhappiness with the Minnesota Vikings organization and the possibility of the running back-needy Cardinals trading for the star ball carrier, referring to a potential addition as a "game changer" for the Arizona franchise.

"Obviously, he's an MVP-caliber player," Fitzgerald said, per AZCardinals.com. "Everybody knows that. Any team he ends up with -- or if he stays with the Vikings -- is going to have a great back. If he was to come play here, it would obviously mean a tremendous amount for our ballclub."

For the Cardinals, who have the electrifying but oft-injured Andre Ellington at the top of the depth chart, adding a player like Peterson - the financials would be difficult to figure out obviously considering he's slated to make $12.3 million next season and the Cardinals have approximately $9.2 million in cap space, according to OverTheCap.com - would give them a dynamic every-down threat they've been missing for almost the entirety of the Bruce Arians era.

Fitzgerald also addressed the ever-changing nature of NFL rosters and the difficulties involved in seeing players annually come and go.

"As a player, it's always a tough time of year," Fitzgerald said. "You make new acquisitions, but a lot of guys you play with - the Lyle Sendleins, Darnell Docketts, players like that -- moving on, it's never easy."

Fitzgerald has also had his own named bandied about in trade rumors recently, but indicated that he does his best to tune such NFL gossip out, saying that he "doesn't pay attention to all that talking and stuff."

Still, if "all that talking and stuff" leads to AP somehow winding up in a Cardinals uniform, it seems that Fitzgerald will be all too glad to take notice.
