Chris Sevier, a Tennessee lawyer, filed a complaint against Apple for letting him access porn from his MacBook. The complaint was filed in June 19, 2013.

On his 50-page complaint, he admitted that he was supposed to go to a social networking site Facebook.com but accidentally typed ‘fuckbook.com’. He was then routed to a porn site which triggered the male in him and led to an addiction with unpleasant consequences.

He appealed to have Apple install a feature on its products which will automatically block all pornographic sites as it may compromise the lives of its users. Those of legal age will be required to call Apple to unblock the restriction of the sites after signing a waiver of the consequences it may bring. The company will then give a code which will be used to remove the block on these sites.

The 31-year old complainant who is representing himself in court as his own lawyer complained that the porn sites caused him depression, negativity, and also affected his work because of his addiction. He was using his MacBook. He also wrote in the complaint:

"Before purchasing a Macbook, the Plaintiff never went to a strip club or sex shop of any kind. Before purchasing a Macbook, the Plaintiff had never seen pornographic images."

Sevier also suffered from a failed marriage as he desired for younger girls because of his exposure to porn actresses who are usually 21 years old and below. He got depressed when his wife left him and claimed that he was even confined in the hospital due to severe depression. He claimed that he couldn’t tell the difference between porn and intangible intercourse because of the sites. All these were results of Apple not warning him of the dangers of accessing porn sites.

Chris Sevier, also known as Mark Christopher Sevier, had been placed on disability inactive status by the Tennessee Supreme Court due to mental illness.
