The Dallas Cowboys have not called free agent running back DeMarco Murray since last week, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Maybe team owner and general manager Jerry Jones doesn't have any plans to re-sign the NFL's leading rusher, but one would think a courtesy call is owed at least.

Apparently, Murray is taking it personally as he removed all Cowboys related material from his Twitter page earlier this morning. Initially, a reunion between the two sides was expected to be difficult because of Dallas' limited cap space, especially after Jones used the franchise tag on wide receiver Dez Bryant. But now the chances of Murray staying with the Cowboys appear much slimmer. As a result, potential suitors have begun circling and that includes the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jags have the most salary cap space in the NFL this offseason with more than $65 million and are already thought to have snagged tight end Julius Thomas. They'll have to shell out a pretty penny to lure Murray in though.

Fellow free agent running back Mark Ingram re-signed with the New Orleans Saints for $16 million over four years after his career season. Murray will likely be looking to top that deal by a wide margin after rushing for an NFL-high 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns while also catching 57 passes for 416 yards. In fact, Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports believes Murray will try to double that annual salary.

"Sounds like DeMarco Murray's camp is confident there are teams willing to pay $8M per year for his services. Will the #Cowboys step up?" he tweeted Monday.

The Cowboys were reluctant to commit big time money to Murray due to the constant turnover at the running back position and Murray's injury history (he missed 11 games through his first three seasons and broke a bone in his right hand last year). As of now, all signs are pointing to Murray playing for a new team next season.
