John Mayer has the enviable reputation of being one of the best guitar players in the world, but he is also known as a casanova who kisses and tells.

He's earned the later title by being very open about past flings with Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz and Taylor Swift, just to name a few. Of late though, Mayer, who is dating Katy Perry, has been quiet to the press and is helping change his reputation thanks in part to a more laid back approach to Twitter.

In a rare tell-all interview with NBC's Ronan Farrow, Mayer explains that he is a "recovered ego addict" and says that he has never been a "womanizer."

"I'm a recovered ego addict, and the only way that I can be sure that I don't relapse is to admit that I constantly have this ego addiction - every day," he told Farrow.
