A win on Tuesday would clinch the Big 12 regular-season championship for No. 9 Kansas.  The Jayhawks, though, have been anything but consistent over the last two weeks, and coach Bill Self hopes the chance to nab the title is extra motivation for his squad.

"We'll have a chance to clinch ... against a team that plays just as well on the road as it does at home," Self told the Associated Press after Saturday's 69-64 win against Texas.  "Hopefully, everybody will be fired up about it."

Kansas has been alternating wins since mid-February, winning only two of their last four games, including Saturday's 69-64 victory over Texas.  Their last loss - a surprising defeat a week ago against Kansas State - seemed to strike a particular chord with the team.

"(Self) wants us to remain focused and continue to push," said freshman forward Kelly Oubre Jr.  "No more upsets, no more court-stormings.  We just need to remain focused."

One scratch for Kansas is freshman forward Cliff Alexander, who will sit out Tuesday after the NCAA notified the school of eligibility concerns.

"The obvious thing is get to the bottom of it and get it resolved," Self, who declined to elaborate on the NCAA's concerns. "I feel confident that everybody wants to do that."

No. 20 West Virginia, meanwhile, had their three-game winning streak ended on Saturday in a 78-66 loss at Baylor and is looking to bounce back.  The Mountaineers will likely be without senior guard Gary Browne, who sprained his ankle early on in the Baylor game and didn't return.
