The New Jersey Devils are "actively shopping" both Martin Havlat and Michael Ryder, according to a report from The Fourth Period.

Devils GM Lou Lamoriello traded future Hall of Famer and 21-season NHL veteran Jaromir Jagr to the Florida Panthers Thursday, and then promptly proclaimed that he and the team weren't giving up on the postseason.

"By no means are we feeling that we're out of the race," Lamoriello said, per NHL.com. "When transactions like this take place, it gives opportunities for people to come forward."

It sounds like if Lamoriello has his way, Ryder and Havlet won't be amongst the group of players to step forward in Jagr's absence.

"According to multiple league sources, the Devils have been actively shopping both players and a number of teams in the market for playoff depth are interested," reads the TFP report.

The 33-year-old Havlat has appeared in only 37 games this season, registering five goals and nine assists. He's got 75 NHL playoff games to his name, in which he has totaled 21 goals and 31 assists.

Ryder, 34, is a veteran of 13 NHL seasons. He has six goals and 12 assists in 43 games this season. He had been a healthy scratch for several games, leading many to wonder if his days with the Devils were numbered.

"I'm just going to go out and play hard and do what I can. It's two games before the trade deadline. If I end up here after the deadline, or somewhere else, it's out of my control," Ryder said, per NJ Advance Media.

"If I go out and do what I can to help this team win, it's good. If they decide to move me, I'll do that somewhere else."
