Chris Hemsworth will appear on 'Saturday Night Live' for the first time ever when he hosts the show on March 7.

The actor, known for his portrayal as Thor, has talked about hosting SNL in the past, according to Entertainment Weekly.

He told MTV in 2012 that he wishes he was "funny enough to host SNL." In the three years since that interview, Hemsworth may not have gotten funnier, but he has sure become more famous.

His next big film, "Avengers: Age of Ultron," hits theaters May 1.

Like Hemsworth, Zac Brown Band, the musical guests for the March 7 episode, will be making their SNL debut.
