Snooki, the 25-year-old reality star, posted a picture on Twitter of her son Lorenzo sitting on the carpet with his hand across his heart all dressed up and ready to celebrate the 4th of July, the Daily Mail reports. Snooki, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, captioned the adorable photo "Lorenzo's first pledge of allegiance."

The former "Jersey Shore" cast member also shared that she was in the holiday spirit by posting a photo of herself in an off-the-shoulder American flag shirt, blue Capri jeans and her signature sky-high heels.

"Fourth of July outfit... this mommy is ready," she tweeted. She also shared the delicious looking food she and her fiancé Jionni LaVelle had prepared for the day. She said LaVelle made the seafood pasta while she made the taco Doritos salad. The reality star posted about her first Independence Day as a mother on her Celebuzz blog.

"First Fourth of July as a mother. For the past couple years I celebrated by going to Vegas or going to a crazy party, going wild like a complete nut-job banshee," Snooki wrote. "Now I'm on a family vacation with my son and fiancé and I couldn't be happier. I love being a mom, a fiancée, and still being fabulous. So cheers to my first Fourth of July as a mother & as a new and improved woman."

She has always credited the birth of her son for helping her to leave her wild, party days behind her and become a more mature woman. In a January interview with Entertainment Tonight Online she said that she actually used to be scared of kids.

"I used to be scared of kids, I didn't like kids, I didn't know how to hold a baby, I never gave a shit about anything," she told ET. "But everything came so natural to me once I became a mom. I feel more mature now. I'm more responsible. I'm a good mom... yet I still know how to have fun when I want to!"

Snooki's best friend and former "Jersey  Shore" cast member told ET that she thought Snooki was an excellent mom despite all the negative comments the pint-sized reality star gets.

"I could not be more proud and I don't think she could be a better mom," Jenni 'JWoww' Farley said. "There's a lot of negativity, criticism and backlash, but she doesn't have a nanny, she doesn't have a chef and she's able to be a full-time mom and a full-time celebrity... and that shit ain't easy."
