"Bachelor" contestant Jade Roper is shy and sweet but the 28-year-old has a scandalous past she will soon reveal to Chris Soules. It's been known for months that Roper once posed completely nude for Playboy Amateur, but on the show she hasn't revealed her secret.
In a promo for Monday's episode, it looks like she'll finally come clean to Soules and the rest of the girls. In a "Bachelor" blog for People magazine, Soules teased: "And on Monday, I go to the remaining four girls' hometowns. Whose families will I meet? Will they accept me? Will I fit in? And how do I react to one woman's scandalous past??? Yes, some of you know what I'm talking about. For those of you who don't, stay tuned."
Chris Harrison also told Yahoo! TV that Roper's secret will lead to Soules sending her home.
"She has something in her past that we will all learn about eventually, but she held back from telling Chris about it for quite a long time, and that might sabotage her chances with him," he said.
News of Roper's past was first leaked by TV blogger and "Bachelor" guru Reality Steve. The site wrote that even though the Nebraska native confessed no one knew "the extent of the Playboy photos." What does Reality Steve mean exactly? Well, besides Roper posing stark-naked for Playboy Amateur there's also an explicit video of her floating around the internet.
Reality Steve points out that the video is not a porno but was taken during her nude shoot.
"What Jade did with her life before this show is all on her. However, I will defend her in one aspect: being called a porn star. Jade isn't in porn. She [posed] full frontal for Playboy," Reality Steve wrote.
Supposedly, Roper moved from Nebraska to Los Angeles to pursue modeling and ended up taking photos for the magazine. According to Playboy.com, she said a friend told her about a Playboy casting and she decided to check it out.
"Playboy is the essence of female beauty," she said. "I've always wanted to be a part of it."
