Glu Mobile, the makers of the wildly popular "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" mobile game, are teaming up with another superstar, one who recently was seen hanging around and dancing with sharks. Yes, the lovely Katy Perry is also getting her own video game.

The studio said the game should be available on iOS and Android later this year. It will feature Perry's voice, likeness and personality. Just how they will squeeze Perry's larger-than-life personality into a mobile game is beyond me but, we'll see, I guess.

"Katy is arguably the most recognized musician in America following her Super Bowl XLIX Halftime performance this past Sunday. She is a cultural icon and we expect to translate key elements of her success into an innovative, highly entertaining mobile experience," Glu CEO Niccolo de Masi said in a statement.

One of the biggest motives for the partnership is Perry's huge fanbase, which Glu hopes will smoothly transition into players of this game. Perry has an insane 64.7 million Twitter followers. (By comparison, I have 1,100 and that seems like a lot to me...guess I'm naïve.)

Perry, who is known for pop hits such as: "California Gurls," "Firework," "Roar" and "I Kissed A Girl," just performed during the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show, which was the most-watched television show in U.S. history. According to Entertainment Weekly, the final numbers show that 118 million people were tuned in.

Now, if Glu can find a way to get all those people to play this game, it will be pleased as, well, dancing sharks in a Super Bowl bloodbath.
