Fans of NBC's "Parenthood" will be saying goodbye to the Braverman bunch during Thursday night's Jan. 29 series finale. For six seasons we have fallen in love with the crazy family but that all comes to an end on tonight's episode, "May God Bless and Keep You Always."

TV Line caught up with Erika Christensen, who plays Julia Braverman-Graham, and writer Sarah Watson to get the scoop on the finale. Watson confirmed that a major character is going to die (sorry guys) but said the episode won't be all bad.

"It continues with what the mood has always been: bittersweet," she told TV Line. "That's the best way to describe this show. They're a family, they love each other and they come together. We're going to see painful things and wonderful things."

Christensen revealed that there will be a time jump so viewers can "go further into the future at the end of the episode." In a separate interview with TV Guide, she said the finale will "go through three years, I think, of some more family developments."

"A lot can happen," she teased.

Watson also said that she was excited for fans to see the "very last shot" of the episode, telling TV Line that it was decided long ago what the final scene would look like.

"As a writer, it felt like such a gift to drive toward something and not have to feel like you're dangling some threads and tying other things up," she said. "It felt like a beautiful, perfect ending."

Christensen expressed slightly different thoughts about the last scene, admitting to TV Guide that it was "brutal" to film and a lot of tears were shed.

"The last scene that we all shot together as a family was brutal," Christensen added. "Thankfully we didn't have a whole lot of talking to do, because we were bawling... Everyone was a mess, and we weren't done shooting. So there's even a shot that you might be able to catch some people crying."
