CBS quickly gave full season orders to its four freshmen drama series in October, and the network didn't wait long again to give three of them a second season renewal.

"Madam Secretary," "Scorpion" and "NCIS: New Orleans" have been renewed for the 2015-2016 season, and represent the top three most-watched new series on network television.

"These freshman dramas have each made a big impact on key nights of the week," said Nina Tassler, Chairman of CBS Entertainment. "Creatively distinctive, the series are backed by strong showrunners with amazingly talented casts, and have resonated with a big, broad audience."

"NCIS: New Orleans" is this season's No. 1 most-watched new series, averaging 18.1 million viewers. It also came in second place for most-watched show across all network television, followed only by the "NCIS" flagship series. Both shows air on Tuesday nights.

"Madam Secretary" is the No. 2 most-watched new series, averaging 14.9 million viewers on Sunday evenings. "Scorpion" follows at No. 3, averaging 14.5 million viewers on Mondays.

The fourth new drama series "Stalker" remains in limbo. The show, starring Maggie Q and Dylan McDermott, has seen its ratings steadily drop since it premiered to 9 million viewers in October.

CBS canceled "The Millers" in November during the comedy's second season. The only other new comedy from the fall, "The McCarthys," is still airing new episodes, and the network will premiere a reboot of the classic sitcom, "The Odd Couple," next month.
