Rita Ora--a new judge on Britain's "The Voice"--caused public outrage because of the dress she wore for an appearance on another BBC show.

The 24-year-old singer decided to wear a white trouser suit without a top underneath her blazer while on "The One Show." After the show concluded, the BBC was inundated with complaints because of her choice of attire.

Around 400 viewers were so incensed with her outfit that they even decided to call up and complain to the BBC because of it, according to the Mirror. They were adamant that it was far too sexy and daring for the early time slot of "The One Show," reports inquisitr.com.

The BBC has now confirmed that it has received over 400 complaints.

Following the incident, a BBC spokesman came out and explained that guests are allowed to wear whatever they want when they appear on "The One Show." The spokesman noted, "'The One Show' allows guests to choose their own attire and pop stars often opt for something glamorous or striking. We didn't feel that Rita's outfit would be outside of most viewers' expectations of that of a major pop star, but we appreciate that tastes vary."

As more and more complaints rolled in, however, those in control over at "The One Show" decided to try and end the incident once and for all by apologizing for Rita Ora's outfit on Facebook. They even noted that if it had been up to them, they would have asked Rita Ora to change her clothes.

"We're sorry to those of you who were offended by Rita Ora's choice of outfit on yesterday's show. If we had been consulted on it we would have requested she wore something more suitable for 7 p.m."

After the Facebook posting from "The One Show," people came out in defense of Ora and her choice of outfit. Here's a selection of tweets endorsing what she had on, according to inquisitr.com:

If you've formally complained about Rita Ora on The One Show last night you don't deserve eyes.
