It's a baby girl for Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa Minnillo-Lachey.
The couple welcomed their second child, a baby girl named Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey, on Monday at 5:17 p.m. Vanessa announced the newborn's arrival in a blog post titled "Proud Parents: Baby Girl Lachey is Here!" published on Tuesday.
"She's HERE!!!! Nick, Camden and I are SO excited to announce the birth of our sweet, beautiful baby girl, Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey!" Vanessa wrote. "I have been dreaming of this moment for as long as I can remember, the day I was going to meet my little girl.
"A friend recently told me how magical today was going to be because it's the day I would meet my best friend. I can't even begin to tell you how it felt to hold her in my arms for the very first time. Mommy, Daddy and big brother Cam love you so much already, Brooklyn!"
The mother of two also shared a personal photo of her and Brooklyn Elisabeth holding hands. The newborn joins big brother Camden John, 2, whom the couple welcomed in September 2012.
"Thank you to everyone for your love and support, it means so much to our family," Vanessa told her fans after the arrival of her second child.
Nick and Vanessa began dating in 2006 and tied the knot in 2011 in a typical ceremony. The couple announced that they were expecting their second baby via Twitter in July.
"Can't think of a better way to celebrate 3 years of marriage to my beautiful @VanessaLachey than this! #family," Nick captioned a picture of "It's a girl" written in the sand.
