Solange Knowles has been served.

Beyoncé's younger sister was reportedly hit with a $55,000 tax lien from the state of California after she failed to pay taxes from 2010-2012. A representative for the 28-year-old singer told E! News that the situation is a misunderstanding.

"The lien is in process of being removed as there was simply confusion on whether Solange was a California resident," a rep said. "We expect this to come to a swift close."

An insider told E! News that "Solange wasn't too worried. She's on top of stuff and has always been financially responsible."

The mother-of-one was reportedly slapped with the lien just three days after her wedding to music video director Alan Ferguson on Nov. 16 this year in New Orleans, Louisiana. Solange took to Twitter to address the report, but it sound like the singer was unaware of the bill.

"Well thanks for letting me know, lol. Sh**********t," she wrote. Adding, "Good looking out yo! Lol. (No for reallys though:)."

After her wedding a representative for the singer denied rumors that Beyoncé paid for her sister's honeymoon as an apology for the elevator fight, where Solange aggressively attacked her brother-in-law Jay-Z.

"Reports that Beyoncé paid for Solange's honeymoon with Alan Ferguson are false," Solange's rep told E! News. "There is no truth to this. Solange and Alan paid for their honeymoon themselves. They did not receive any compensation of any kind."

The sister's father, Mathew Knowles, is also having money issues. TMZ reported that he held a marathon garage sale where he sold Solange's CDs for $1.96 and a Beyoncé poster for $200.
