A body found this week in a car at a Walmart parking lot has been confirmed as missing pregnant woman Aubrey Andrews, a California coroner said late Wednesday, Fox 40 reported.

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office did not specify how 20-year-old Andrews, who was nine months pregnant, died. She was reported missing Dec. 6 and her Prius was found Monday in the parking lot of an Elk Grove Walmart less than five miles from her home.

Sacramento police said there were no signs of foul play when the body was found. She was due to give birth in 17 days when she vanished, Fox 40 reported.

Andrews, who also has a 3-year-old son, was last seen Dec. 6 when she left home in her white Prius. She was reportedly distraught when she drove off and those who knew her said her disappearance was "unusual," The Sacramento Bee reported.

Her family believed she could have driven to Southern California where she had friends.

Andrews and her husband, Edward Andrews, had been experiencing marital problems for nearly a year, according to court records. She filed a restraining order against Edward in January after he allegedly pushed her and threw her to the ground, according to court documents reviewed by Fox 40. The alleged incident happened in front of their son.

Aubrey filed for divorce in May but did not go through with it. An emotional Edwards told the station his wife was dealing with personal issues and probably needed time alone.

The family released a statement obtained by Fox 40 after the death was confirmed.

"This is the worst outcome imaginable and a tragic loss for our entire family. We thank everyone who played a role in helping us locate Aubrey. We request privacy to mourn the loss of Aubrey and the baby."
