In the report released by the Senate Intelligence Committee last week, some of the techniques the CIA performed on detainees in the wake of 9/11 in an effort to gather intelligence that could prevent additional terror attacks were identified.

One apparently successful technique was the use of sound disorientation, where certain types of music were used to prevent sleeping or to break the detainees down mentally.
