Zoe Saldana is a mom! The 36-year-old "Guardians of the Galaxy" star and her husband Marco Perego have reportedly welcomed twin babies, The Mirror reports.

A source close to Saldana told the British newspaper that the actress gave birth on Monday, Dec. 8 at a Los Angeles hospital. No word yet on the sex of the babies.

"Zoe and Marco are delighted, Zoe has been ready to drop for some time and they are both ecstatic to be meeting the twins," a friend close to the couple told The Mirror.

"This is a dream come true for both of them and they are absolutely delighted. They have been looking forward [to] this day for the last nine months. [They] want a big family so this is the start," the friend added.

We don't expect Saldana to announce the baby news anytime soon since the actress typically likes to keep her personal life out of the spotlight. She didn't confirm her pregnancy until August, months after it was already reported that she was expecting.

Eventually, Saldana revealed that she and Perego were expecting twins but again the news had already been confirmed prior to her announcement. Close friend Britney Spears let it slip during an interview in September when a reporter asked if she would ever make a movie with Saldana again. The two starred together in the 2002 film "Crossroads."

"Who knows? That's a very good idea," Spears said.

"But she's pregnant with twins right now. So I'm sure she got a huge future ahead of her," she added not realizing that she had accidentally confirmed the news.

According to In Touch, Saldana previously revealed that she wants to have at least "two or three" kids.

"Or four or five. I don't care. They're just so delicious," she said. "I love the anxiety, the pressure of the loud room full of yapping kids. But I'm a kid myself. I get along very well with animals and children. I dig them. I get them. They make perfect sense to me. A child speaks more sense than an adult half of the time."
