A woman was arrested for accusing a family court marshal of sexually assaulting her according to Gawker.

Monica Contreras reportedly went to Clark County Family Court to address her divorce case in Las Vegas when she claimed court marshal Ron Fox "performed a drug search on her in a waiting room" without the presence of a witness or fulfilling her request to have a female marshal perform the search.

The woman said Fox "touched her buttocks, breasts, and ordered her to lift up her shirt."

Contreas' told hearing master Patricia Donninger of the incident but was ignored. In a video showing the incident, Donniger is seen playing with Contreas' 2-year-old daughter seemingly uninterested in what was happening.

"I think I'd rather have a female in here and he went anyway," she told Donninger. "I was just offended by it. I'm just offended that he asked me."

The video also shows the 2-year-old pleading with court marshall's to leave her mother alone.

After making her claim, Contreas was told she was being arrested because she made "false allegations made against a police officer."

Contreas was told in order to avoid going to jail, she had to recant her story. She refused and was arrested.

According to 8 News Now, the 2011 incident sparked a series of investigations by internal affairs. The initial investigation was done after Contreas' filed a complaint to the Clack County internal affairs who later confirmed her allegations. Internal affairs continued the investigation to determine why the sexual assault accusation was not reported and if similar incidents have also not been reported.

News Now reported Fox is suing Clark County for wrongful termination and claims he's innocent. Fox's attorney refused to comment on the allegations, but insist his client's arrest was valid "because nobody in the courtroom tried to stop him."
