Detroit (7-4) had their four-game winning streaked snapped on Nov. 16 against the Arizona Cardinals, and after last week's 34-9 blowout loss at New England, head into Thursday's contest looking to avoid a third straight loss.  The Lions' offense has sputtered over the last two games, unable to score a single touchdown.

"If I knew what was wrong, I would have already fix," said Lions receiver Calvin Johnson, via ESPN.  "We still have time to get things going in the right direction."

The offense hasn't been helped with knee injuries to lineman Larry Warford and Riley Reiff, who could miss Thursday.

"That's the great part about coaching: we get to see the team during the good times and also during tough stretches, and how we respond," Lions coach Jim Caldwell said.  "That's what makes a team.  That's when you find out the kind of grit you have, the kind of toughness, the kind of leadership - when things aren't going quite as nie as you'd like them, see if they can battle through."

Chicago (5-6), meanwhile, are on a two-game winning streak.  They snapped a three-game slump with wins over Minnesota and Tampa Bay.  One key for coach Marc Trestman's team is getting off to a quick start after being outscored 41-0 in the first quarter of the last six games, according to ESPN.

"We're just trying to focus on what we can do better and that is to be more consistent on offense and to use opportunities to make plays," said Trestman.  "We need to do that from start to finish."
