Black Friday starts so early nowadays it actually begins on Thanksgiving Thursday.

Many stores across the country will open their doors around 5 or 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27 to kickoff the holiday shopping season. Kmart will open its doors the earliest at 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving and remain open until midnight on Friday, Nov. 28.

Blue laws will prevent retail stores from opening in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Maine, where business will remain closed until at least 12:30 a.m. on Friday.
