Earlier this month it was reported that comedian Kathy Griffin would replace the late Joan Rivers on E!'s "Fashion Police." The network has not yet confirmed the news but TMZ claims that it's "a done deal." On Saturday, HNGN.com caught up with Griffin at Fox's "Cause for a Pause" and asked her what fans could expect to see from her when the show returns in January.

"Well, let's see if I do take the chair on fashion police. If I do I'm not going to hold back. That's all I'm going to say," Griffin said. "I mean events like this, whether it's a dog event, a red carpet with stars and starlets you have to laugh and you have to make fun of everything because it's fashion, which is a part, but it's also a little ridiculous and you know I'm going to be the one who's going to tell it like it is."

The 54-year-old said a solid deal with E! hasn't been signed yet because she's still weighing out her options.

"I actually try not to sign too much of anything, but whether happens we will see. If I do it I will definitely bring the heat and the spirit of my dear friend Joan Rivers," she told HNGN. "She never held back and really made that show the fearless fun place to enjoy fashion and celebrity culture.

If Griffin excepts the gig she'll join returning co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne. Rivers' daughter Melissa Rivers would sometimes appear on the show but is also an executive producer. According to a previous report by TMZ, it's not clear if George Kotsiopoulos will come back to the show.

Sources close to production told TMZ that "Fashion Police" will most likely no longer be a weekly show and will instead air only after award shows and other special occasions.
