Blink-182's Tom DeLonge may like a lot of silly things, but one thing he really doesn't like is downloading and streaming music, Gawker reported.

Though the band's music is available on Spotify, DeLonge said in an interview with Faster Louder that streaming music is "killing elephants for their tusks and carving ivory statues."

"I tell people condoning streaming is like condoning the Chinese that are killing elephants for their tusks and carving ivory statues. It's cool to put on your shelf but if you really think about what you're doing it sucks. Streaming music is doing the same thing to artists - might not be killing 'em but it's killing the industry. It might be cool for you as somebody that likes music but you're not really thinking about the effect it has. We've got to value our art, you know?"

But DeLonge isn't the only artist to speak out against music streaming. Taylor Swift recently deleted her music, including new album 1989, from Spotify earlier this month. She sited that she didn't believe the service values the art that musicians produce with their albums by letting fans listen free of charge, according to Faster Louder.

DeLonge has a new album with Angels and Airwaves coming out on December 9.
