Pebble's app for Android is finally getting full notification support courtesy of a recent update.

Firmware 2.8 is giving all Android apps the ability to pass notifications to the smartwatch, rather than just a select few, according to SlashGear. The new app is aimed at being faster  and providing a more stability for users.

Those who own an Android 4.3 device or later will also be able to set which apps to allow notifications from, which lets them avoid receiving a ton of notifications at once. Pebble is looking to bring the feature down to at least Android 4.0.

SMS, calendar, and Gmail alerts were among the very few notifications available on the original Pebble app, and users needed a third-party helper app to obtain the rest, The Verge reported.

Pebble is also paying attention to iOS users with the update, giving the app support for characters in 80 different languages, which will make things much easier for users with languages that have accents.

The app will be available to download over the next few weeks at the Google Play Store, Digital Trends reported. Pebble said Android users with Jelly Bean, KitKat and Lollipop will be able to get their hands on the new firmware.
