No. 1 seed Serena Williams hopes to continue her hot streak and breeze past No. 5 seed Sara Errani to the French Open final.  The two meet on the clay Thursday morning, following the Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka match at 9 a.m. ET.

Williams has rolled through competition at the Open, but she faced her biggest challenge on Tuesday in the quarterfinal against Svetlana Kuznetsova.  She struggled at times and needed three sets to win, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3.

Now she's one match away from advancing to the final.  Williams hasn't won a singles title at Roland Garros since her first in 2002, which makes winning on Thursday all the more important.  Williams, 31, is playing some of the best tennis of her career.  Anything short of a title win would be a disappointment.

Although Williams has beaten Errani in all of their five previous meetings, Errani can't be taken lightly, Tennis Now reports.  Errani was the runner-up in the 2012 French Open final, and she made Williams fight for her last win in Madrid.

Williams is predicted to win in three sets.
