Jaguar added another devilishly handsome British actor to its cinematic commercials.

Nicholas Hoult stars in the car company's new "British Intelligence" campaign, a follow-up to its "British Villains" ads that aired during Super Bowl XLVIII. Oscar-winner Tom Hooper returned to direct the new series of commercials.

"In casting Hoult, a young, good-looking and charismatic actor with just the right amount of eccentric British charm, we found our boy genius," said Matt Page, creative director, Spark 44, the international communications agency for Jaguar.

"He plays the role of the Villain's behind-the-scenes technology wiz, providing his bosses with the right equipment for their mission, Jaguar cars, and in doing so, he wittily describes the innovation and technology that makes our cars feel so alive."

The new campaign picks up at the British villains' lair where Tom Hiddleston, Ben Kingsley and Mark Strong all arrived at the end of the previous commercial. The "brains behind the villainous operation," Hoult zips down into a secret sub-basement laboratory and shares all the innovative technology that makes up Jaguar's vehicles.

"A villain is only as good, or should I say bad, as the technology at his fingertips," the "X-Men: Days of Futures Past" says. "The devil is in the detail. With power like this comes great opportunity."

The ads feature Jaguar models F-TYPE, XJ and the XF. Hoult pulls the cover off the new XE, but quickly throws it back on. The model won't go on sale in the U.S. until 2016.

Hoult stars in three 30-second TV spots, a 90-second digital film and three web films. The latter shows the testing practices Jaguar puts its cars through including climate and crash testing.

Jaguar released the commercials on Oct. 6. They can all be view at the company's YouTube page.
