Move over, LSU. Watch out, North Carolina.

After impressive wins over both teams this weekend, East Carolina (3-1) and Mississippi State (4-0) have moved into the Associated Press' college football Top 25. For ECU, it is their first time in the top 25 since 2008. Mississippi State is back after two seasons.

The ECU Pirates are No. 23 following a record-setting 70-41 win against North Carolina. ECU has now beaten two Atlantic Coast Conference teams - the other being Virginia Tech - this season. Mississippi State moves up to No. 14 after they ended a 14-game losing streak to the LSU Tigers with their 34-29 victory. LSU, previously ranked eighth, fell to No. 17.

The top seven teams remained the same as last week. Florida State just barely hung onto their top overall ranking after escaping with a 23-17 overtime win against Clemson on Saturday night without reigning Heisman Trophy-winner, Jameis Winston.
