After a dazzling performance at her U.S. debut at the 20th annual Anime Expo in Los Angeles in 2011, the 100-percent digital pop star Hatsune Miku hoped she would one day return to the States for another big show, and that day will soon arrive.

Crypton Future Media announced in June that Miku will perform at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre and New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on Oct. 11 and 12 and Oct. 17 and 18, respectively.

The Expo will feature an art exhibition focused on the virtual singer and dancer as well as the cultural movement she inspired, activities for fans and of course the live concert using cutting-edge projection technology and a live band.

Additional information and tickets can be found at the Expo's official website.

Miku was created in 2007 as an avatar for Crypton Future Media's music software and singing voice synthesizer "Vocaloid," amassing 110,000 songs and more than 88 million hits on YouTube to date, according to mxdwn.com.

Miku has gained so much popularity since making her debut that she even drew the attention of Lady Gaga, who brought Miku in to open her Artpop Ball tour earlier this year.

Miku also has had countless varieties of toy figurines, plushies, statues and fan artworks created in her image. She has also inspired multiple video game titles, three of which have been released in English with two more set to release in the U.S. in November and at a currently unspecified time in 2015.
