Barbra Streisand last sat down with a late-night talk show host on March 5, 1963. "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" will end that streak on Monday night.

Streisand will make her first late-night guest appearance in more than 50 years on the show that hosted her last, NBC's "The Tonight Show." Jimmy Fallon will sit down with the living legend from Brooklyn on Sept. 15.

"That's right! Monday (9/15) @BarbraStreisand is stopping by #FallonTonight! It's her first late night television appearance in 50 years!" the late-night show tweeted on Wednesday night.

Talk amongst yourself, we're getting verklempt!

Host Johnny Carson last spoke with Streisand on "The Tonight Show" in his New York studio before he moved the show to Los Angeles in 1972. Carson told her when she became a big star, they would never see her again.

"I will never come here again," she joked, although it would be true. Carson left the program in 1992 and died in 2005.

The award-winning singer and actress made a brief appearance on CBS's "The Late Show with David Letterman." Letterman complained he couldn't get Streisand concert tickets when she came out on stage and gave him two tickets herself.

"I just wanted to tell you stop kvetching already," she told the crabby host. "Now, I expect you to go to this."

"The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" featured footage of Streisand's show in Las Vegas in 1993. Leno remained in his Burbank studio while guest Richard Simmons reported live via satellite.

She famously made a surprise appearance on "Saturday Night Live" during the Mike Myers sketch "Coffee Talk" in 1992. Host Linda Richman, played by Myers, invited her best friend Liz Rosenberg, played by musical guest Madonna, and Liz's mother, played by guest host Roseanne.

As always, Linda dedicated the show to Barbra Streisand and spoke at length about her recent appearances. Her movie "The Prince of Tides" received seven Oscar nominations, but not one for Streisand's directing. It got the ladies very "verklempt" even thinking about the Academy's lack of recognition.

Near the end, Myers goes to wrap up the sketch when he's shocked to see Streisand entering stage right. "All this talk about food, I'm getting hungry, girls," she says as she surprises the three women, especially Myers.

"I can die now. I can die. Barbra, you're beautiful," Myers as Linda says. "I'm verklempt."

Anyone else feeling verklempt at this news?
