Taylor Swift is the newest member of "The Voice" family and will appear as a celebrity adviser on the show's Season 7, according to media reports.

"The Voice" is arguably one of the most popular singing shows in America, coming second only to "American Idol." Last year saw Coldplay's Chris Martin as the show's celebrity adviser for season 6. For season 7, Taylor Swift has been roped in to mirror Martin's role, according to a Us Weekly report. She will work alongside mainstay coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, as well as newcomers Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams.

"Taylor was an absolute pleasure to work with," a source told the tabloid. "She had great feedback for all the contestants. She made for an amazing mentor."

She joins the impressive group of other advisers including Stevie Nicks, Gavin Rossdale, country music group Little Big Town and Alicia Keys.

The singer made her return to music earlier this month with the release of her poptastic new single, "Shake It Off," which became her second No. 1 to date!

Swift's new album, 1989, is set to hit shelves on October 27th. The album marks the singer's first completely "pop" endeavor, leaving behind her legacy of country-ish music.

"One of the things you can expect is that I'm really trying to challenge myself in every single way possible to make music that doesn't sound like music I've made before," Swift revealed about the album, on her website. "When you get into the album there are a lot of late eighties sounds and vocal styling and production elements."

She continued, "We were really just playing around with this album and didn't limit ourselves. What ended up happening was we made an album that really sounds like an album, it's really sonically cohesive, and I'm really proud of it."

"The Voice" Season 7 premieres on September 22, 2014.
