It sounds like things are getting serious between Ian Somerhalder and his rumored girlfriend Nikki Reed. According to Hollywood Life, the two are thinking about getting matching tattoos to express their love for one another.

"Nikki and Ian are talking about getting tattoos together. They want to get a matching quote instead of each other's names because Nikki has already done the name thing with two of her exes and neither one of them worked out. She wants to do something different with Ian," a source told Hollywood Life.

The 35-year-old "Vampire Diaries" star and the 26-year-old "Twilight" actress recently adopted a "baby boy": a beautiful chestnut horse named Eagle. Somerhalder introduced Eagle to his fans on Instagram and thanked Reed for taking the photo.

"Proud new dad... What amazing creatures they are. Wow. His name is Eagle. Thank you @iamnikkireed for snapping this special moment, with our big baby boy," he posted.

Even though Somerhalder and Reed have been spending a lot of time together, some reports claim that the two are just friends and their relationship is not romantic. Somerhalder and Reed have known each other for years.

Reed is still in the process of divorcing her husband Paul McDonald and Somerhalder split from his "Vampires Diaries" co-star Nina Dobrev last year. Because Dobrev and Reed were friends it was also said that Somerhalder's relationship with Reed was making the actress uncomfortable.

A source told US Weekly that Dobrev and Reed have the same circle of friends and no one knows how to act around her. However, Dobrev is not dwelling on the split from Somerhalder and has been spotted getting cozy with a couple Hollywood hunks.

She was reportedly seen at a Comic-Con party last month flirting with Orlando Bloom. According to reports, the two were getting a little cozy and were even kissing. Ironically, Somerhalder and Reed were at the same party but the trio avoided each other.
