Inhalable alcohol has been sweeping trendy bars for years, but a new gadget could allow fans to enjoy it at home.

Vapshot mini is a miniature machine that vaporizes alcohol and allows it to be inhaled into the respiratory system. The device claims to give users an "instant buzz."

"What if there was a brand new way to enjoy your favorite alcoholic beverages that'll get the party started faster and won't slow you down? Something new, trendy and sciency...yeah, we just made up that word," the Vapshot company stated on their website.

Vapshot can be used to create vapor-only shots and mixed drinks; users can also mix vaporized drinks with liquid drinks. The device is the only laboratory-tested product that vaporizes alcohol. The device was found to be up to OSHA standards.

Inhaling liquor allows the substance to skip over the stomach and liver and go straight to the bloodstream, Gadget Review reported. This could be problematic because the liver acts as an intermediary to prevent alcohol poisoning. The device should be used in moderation and users should exercise caution when enjoying its effects. In light of this potential problem, the machine delivers about 1/60 of the alcohol contained in a traditional shot, the Independent reported.

"Even if you consumed a Vapshot every few minutes, it is still way below the set safety levels detailed by OSHA for inhaling ethyl alcohol," the Vapshot Company said, the Independent reported.

The mini device is portable and comes in white for $699 or stainless steel for $899. Additional serving bottles will be available for $9 each.

"Vapshot mini is small and portable so it's is ready to hit the road when you are. Use it by your pool, on your boat or even when you're camping. Vapshot mini will get your party started anytime, anywhere...," the website said.
