With the announcement of new cast members joining the “Game of Thrones” production comes fan speculation about missing characters and possible story lines.

[Warning: this article contains SPOILERS from the novels]

The video below contains new “Game of Thrones” cast members including Alexander Siddig will play Doran Martell, Toby Sebastian will play Trystane Martell, Nell Tiger Free as Myrcella Baratheon, Jessica Henwick is Nymeria Sand, Keisha Castle-Hughes is Obara Sand and Rosabell Laurenti Sellers is Tyene Sand.

However, fans are talking about a character that was conveniently left out of the cast announcement: Arianne Martell. In the novels, Arianne is the heiress of Sunspear and the future Princess of Dorne once her father Doran passes away. Though she is Doran’s daughter, her character’s personality resembles her uncle Oberyn the most.

Arianne is the heir and a key player in Dorne, not Trystane. One could argue women are the ones in power in Dorne, which is a departure from the other regions of Westeros. Arianne is intelligent, sexy and a strong female character which the show arguably could use. Fans took to Twitter to express their discontent with the casting news.

However, the production could be holding out Arianne’s appearance until later in the series or hasn’t found an actress to take on the role yet.  The production also hasn't confirmed or denied Arianne would be cut from the series.  Still, exciting things are expected in the fifth season of “Game of Thrones.”

The show’s cast and crew also teased what’s to come in the fifth season during their Comic Con appearance. Maises Williams played coy when dishing details about her character’s storyline in Braavos stating Arya is “no one."

Williams could be referencing the Faceless Assassins. Arya eventually makes her way to The House of Black and White to begin training in the ways of the Faceless Men. Arya’s story will become deeper and richer now that she is more in control of her life.
