Maria Putin, daughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has reportedly vacated her $3.3 million dollar penthouse in the Netherlands amidst fury and outrage over rumors that Russia played a part in the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, the Daily Mirror reported Thursday.

Residents who live near the penthouse outside Amsterdam said they don't know where Maria Putin, 29, went.

"We haven't seen her since the plane went down," one neighbor told the Daily Mirror.

Russia has come under fire after the 298 passenger and crew plane was shot down in a region of eastern Ukraine controlled by pro-Russian insurgents. Most of the victims were from the Netherlands.

Some claim Russia helped the separatists who are believed to have shot down the plane, the U.S. included.

Maria's apartment in Voorschoten lies 20 miles near the airport where the Malaysia-bound plane departed on its final journey. Dutch citizens blasted her on Twitter, demanding she leave the country. Her address was also published online.

"It's time for you to leave B---h," tweeted one user, according to the Mirror.

Even the mayor of Voorschoten expressed anger towards Putin's daughter as the bodies of the 193 Dutch citizens who died arrived in Holland, where they will be sent to Hilversum for identification.

"We could also deport Putin's daughter, she lives in the Nethelands. Then you've got a whole different signal you could give," Mayor Pieter Broertjes said according to the Mirror. The mayor later apologized and admitted what he said was "not wise."

Maria's current whereabouts are not known. Some reports say she could be in Moscow, where her father and his billion-dollar fortune can protect her, according to the newspaper.

Wherever she is, the Dutch don't seem to miss Maria Putin.

"She is obviously not responsible for her father's actions but we don't want- demonstrations around here," her neighbor told the Mirror.
