Ashley Benson, who is a top favorite for being cast in the movie adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey", says she's not sure whether she'd be able to play the role of Anastasia Steele in the film.

Week after week popular polls across the Internet on the public's favorite contenders for the lead roles in the movie adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey" add new names to the list. Recently, "Pretty Little Liars'" Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale and Troian Bellisario have been on top of most polls. Earlier last year, Benson was one of the actresses who had expressed interest in the role claiming she would "love" to play Anastasia. However, it looks as if Benson has changed her mind about the "edgy, raw and organic" role.

"Oh, man. I've been linked to that movie so many times. It's so funny. I don't know. It depends. It might be a bit of a stretch. I don't know if I could do all that," stated Benson, adding, "I loved the book. I mean amazing, great. I read all three books in a week, but the movie, I mean reading it and doing it is completely different."

Co-star Lucy Hale echoed the same opinion calling the film a bit "too raw" for her.

While fans wait frantically for news about who will be playing the  leads in the film, Universal Studios and Focus Features revealed that at this moment they're concentrating on finding an appropriate director, after which they will look into the casting of the film.
