A Jewish woman was kicked off a JetBlue Airways flight in South Florida after she got into a verbal altercation with a Palestinian passenger and accused her of having explosives in her carry-on bag, according to a report by the airline.

Lisa Rosenberg of New York was booted from a July 7 flight just before it left Palm Beach International Airport, she told a local ABC affiliate, adding that she was conversing on the phone with a friend about the recent on-going violence in Israel while she boarded the plane.

As soon as she ended her call, Rosenberg said she was approached by another passenger. "A woman comes up to me and says to me, 'I'm a Palestinian' and she starts cursing at me. 'Zionist pig. This is just the beginning,'" Rosenberg said.

The argument escalated, with a flight attendant intervening and asking Rosenberg to leave the flight, Washington Times reported. Although JetBlue never offered a proper explanation on why Rosenberg was being kicked off the flight, she believes that she was a victim of a hate crime.

The unidentified woman with whom Rosenberg was arguing declined an interview, but she has posted her side of the story on wpbf.com., claiming that she told Rosenberg that her phone call was offensive. "She then went into a hysterical rant and would not comply with the flight attendant's requests to sit in her seat and stop shouting," the woman wrote. "She was removed from the flight because she created a disturbance, not because of her religion."

Although the airline has declined to officially comment on the specifics of the incident, citing passenger privacy, JetBlue released a report Wednesday, saying Miss Rosenberg "accused customer 9C of being a Palestinian murderer, and that her people are all murderers, and that they murder children. She went even further to suggest 9C had explosives in her bag and it would bring the aircraft down," the ABC affiliate reported.

After mentioning explosives, Rosenberg was then reportedly asked to leave the plane, while the other passenger was allowed to stay.

Meanwhile, Rosenberg declined another interview Tuesday, instead referring WPBF 25 News to her attorney. She did, however, vehemently deny the quotes in the JetBlue report.
