A ton of emphasis and speculation has been put on who will land the coveted roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steel in the upcoming movie "50 Shades of Grey." There have been other actors and actresses buzzing in the "Fifty Shades" rumor mill for the top supporting roles. Below we break down who is rumored to play Mrs. Robinson, Kate Kavangh and Elliot Grey.

Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer are still the top two contenders to play the sexy Christian Grey. Both are said to have the physique, look and acting skills to land the role.

Alex Blendel has been a top contender for Anastasia Steele with many fans assuring she has the sweet, innocent, college-girl look. Jennifer Lawrence has also been a leading contender. A fairly new name creeping up to play Steele is Minka Kelly. She is better known for her roles in "500 Days of Summer" and "Just Go With It," but Enstarz reports that even though she is considerably older than Steele (32) she does look young for her age and also has the innocent look.

Now, names for supporting characters are beginning to circulate. In the book, Mrs. Robinson is described as a tall, sexy platinum blonde who always looks well-groomed. Two names rumored to be in the running are Kim Cattrall and Charlize Theron. Cattrall voiced her interest in the role during an interview in late 2012 jokingly saying that she has her "claws out" for the part.

Robinson is said to have taught Grey everything he know. There is no doubt Cattrall fits that description. Fan Share said that Theron would be great for the part because she "could bring the feistiness to the role Elena has in the series."

Names being circulated for Kate Kavanagh, Steele's best friend and roommate, are Blake Lively and Ashley Benson. Kavanagh is described as a vivacious, confident and strong willed journalist with strawberry blonde hair.

Lively has been a name rumored for the role quite some time now while Benson was just added to the stir. In a recent interview, however, Benson expressed interest in playing Steele even though she likes Kavanagh's character.

Rounding out the rumored list of supportive characters is Chris Hemsworth and Kellan Lutz as Elliot Grey, Christian Grey's tall, broad-shouldered older brother. Policymic said the Hemsworth is a leading choice because of his 6'4 athletic frame and piercing blue eyes. The Examiner writes that Hemsworth's "blend of power and sex appeal on screen would be a perfect mix for Elliot."

The other name rumored to be a top contender as Elliot Grey is "Twilight" star Kellan Lutz. He told Parade magazine that he was has not read the books but became interested in the role after fans saw a similarity between Emmett, his character on "Twilight" and Elliot.
