Pippa Middleton gave her first-ever television interview to Matt Lauer and the "TODAY" show but apparently the sit-down chat upset some very important people: the Royal Family. According to Radar Online, Queen Elizabeth and Buckingham Palace isn't pleased with Kate Middleton's sister chatting with Lauer.

Reportedly the Royal Family wishes the 30-year-old would just "shut up," a source told Radar.

"They are furious with Pippa," one source said. "They wish that she would shut-up. It is obvious that she wants to define her identity and step out of her sister's shadow, however she needs to know her place."

Lauer travelled to London for the interview, which aired earlier in the week. There's conflicting reports whether the interview was giving the green light beforehand. Some sources told Radar that Clarence House, the home of Prince William and his wife Kate, agreed to the interview, while other sources told the site that Buckingham Palace, which speaks for the Queen, was not aware of the sit-down talk.

Reportedly, Middleton was supposed to do the interview in October of last year, right in time for the release of her book, Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends but it was shut down.

"[Pippa was] discouraged from doing it as it would appear she was using relationship with Kate to promote the book," a source told Radar.

The 400-page book gives Middleton's tips on planning the perfect party for any occasion and includes ideas for recipes, crafts and games.

During the interview with Lauer, the Duchess' sister talked about her relationship with Kate saying that even though her sibling joined the Royal Family, the two still have a normal bond.

"We have a very normal, sisterly relationship. We're very close," she told Lauer. "And, you know, we support each other and get each other's opinions and things."

She also talked about being an aunt to baby Prince George.

"He's amazing. He's a very dear boy," Middleton said. "And he's brought a lot pleasure and fun for all of us, the whole family. I love children and babies. So I would happily have one."
