After chasing down a homeless man and getting arrested for engaging in disruptive behavior during a Broadway musical, actor Shia LaBeouf has reportedly checked into rehab.

According to X17, the 28-year-old actor was seen leaving his Hollywood Hills home on Monday to check into an unnamed private rehabilitation center often used by celebrities.

A source told the publication the former "Transformers" actor was seen carrying an Alcoholics Anonymous book. Upon his arrival, the former "Even Stevens" actor was greeted by a nurse and a security guard when he arrived.

"Shia was nervous; he didn't look good all morning," a photographer told the gossip site. "He was looking down and wasn't even talking to his driver. It looked like he didn't want to do it, but he knew he had to."

E! News, however, has reported LaBeouf has not checked himself into rehab, despite previous reports. The rumors started after the actor began making headlines for his erratic antics.

The "Nymphomaniac" star was arrested and charged with harassment, "two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of criminal trespassing," for engaging in disruptive behavior during a performance of the Broadway musical "Cabaret," last Thursday.

LaBeouf was accused of smoking inside the theater, slapping random strangers on the rear end and yelling expletives at audience members and actors on stage. He was also accused of refusing to leave the theater and harassing officers.

The troubled star is expected to appear in court on July 24.

TMZ later reported that the actor got into a confrontation with a homeless man just hours before his arrest. LaBeouf reportedly chased him through traffic because he believed the homeless man stole his baseball cap.

Just one week before his arrest, LaBeouf attempted to start a fight with a stranger outside a New York City strip club. However, a security guard stood in between the two men - blocking the actor from getting close enough to do any physical harm.

Earlier this year, LaBeouf stormed out of a press conference in Berlin for his film "Nymphomaniac". He also arrived on the red carpet for the film's German premiere wearing a paper bag on his head that included the words, "I am not famous anymore" scrawled on the front

Last January, LaBeouf announced his decision to "retire from all public life."
