Now that the world is fairly, used to, comfortable with and possibly bored of the iPhone 5, there is much anticipation for the arrival of the next iPhone—especially since the Apple’s fiercest competitor, Samsung, has already released the next installment in the Galaxy S series with the Galaxy S4.

According to Expert Reviews, there was great speculation as to whether the next iPhone would be called the 5S or the 6. They report those speculations have died and the iPhone 5s will be released next. This means the iPhone 6 will not arrive in the near future

Peter Misek, a Jefferies analyst, said the supply chain is set for an iPhone 5s, according to FinancialPost.com. A shift to the iPhone 6 will require at least six eight months to a full year.

Misek says a bigger screen iPhone 6 will debut in June 2014.

However there has been other rumors and possible evidence that casts doubt on Misek’s estimates. On May 8, Stuff reported receiving “a spy shot of a UK mobile operator's till system which lists '4G iPhone 6' on a product list.”

The photo was taken at a United Kingdom operator store. It strongly hints Apple will not do as Misek predicts and skip the iPhone 5s all together.

According to GadgetGestures.com, sources say the iPhone 6 is expected to have a 4.8 inch display. It will also supposedly feature advanced fingerprint security and have 4G capabilities. According to the website, “Gesture controls and missing home button have also been a part of rumors.”
