Recently "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the upcoming Season 5 and the Walking Dead comic books. Kirkman told THR that he already knows how the comics will end but it's "something that is very off into the future."

"I've known roughly how The Walking Dead [comic] ends for a while now," Kirkman told THR. "It's something that I took my time figuring out but I always knew the direction I was going in. A few years ago the end cemented itself. But that's something that is very off into the future and it's an ending that doesn't really work unless I take my time getting there."

He also dished on Season 5 and promised that this season is definitely going to be "intense." Check out some of the highlights from the interview below.

Will there be any major character deaths early on in Season 5 since they were spared last season:

"It's always highly likely, though I wouldn't say that it's any more likely than it ever is, but it is always extremely likely," he said. "We did pull back on the reins a little bit at the end of season four. We're definitely going to hit the ground running for season five and we really don't let up very quickly at all. It's going to be a pretty fast-paced, intense season."

What he thinks about the Glenn Rhee dying rumors:

"I absolutely love it. It means people care and people are paying attention," Kirkman said. "So keep those rumors flying!"

What Seth Gilliam will bring to the show: (It still hasn't been confirmed whether Gilliam will play Father Gabriel from the comics).

"Every season we try to bring in new characters that add something in their own way to the cast, much in the way that Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), Eugene (Josh McDermitt) and Rosita (Christian Serratos) brought a new narrative and more character dynamics to the show," he said. "Seth Gilliam's character - whoever it may be - brings a lot of conflict and really cool character traits to the mix."

Will fans see any other comic book characters in Season 5:

"I wouldn't be surprised to see more announcements along those lines at some point soon. But that's always the case. We're always going to be cycling through characters, as I like to say in an ominous and foreboding kind of way," he told THR. "If we're not bringing new blood into the mix then we'll eventually run out. So we're definitely going to be bringing some new blood into the mix and always moving forward."

Season 5 of "The Walking Dead" premieres in October.
