Chandler Riggs' father wants fans of "The Walking Dead" to be ready for a pretty intense return when Season 5 kicks off in October. According to The Spoiling Dead Facebook page, William Riggs tweeted on May 6 that "TWD Season 5 episodes 1 & 2 will blow your pants off. That is all. #WalkingDead #TWDSeason5PlotTwist."

The new season hasn't been given an official premiere date yet, but it is expected to air in five short months. Filming at the Terminus location in Atlanta began last week.

In other "Walking Dead" news, it was recently announced that actor Seth Gilliam was added to the Season 5 cast. The news was first reported by Deadline. According to the site, "The Wire" alum will play a character given the fake name "Michael Todd." AMC is attempting to keep the character's identity a secret but there's speculation that Gilliam will play Father Gabriel Stokes, from the comics.

Gilliam's character was described as "having two sides, displaying a friendly, puckish humor but also having a haunted side stemming from a dark secret."

Father Gabriel is an African-American preacher in his 30s and meets up with Rick Grimes and the rest of the group as they make their way towards Washington D.C. At one point in the comics, he shares his backstory with the group and reveals that at the beginning of the outbreak, he trapped himself inside his church and left his family, friends and parishioners to get attacked by zombies.

He was forced to leave the safety of the church when he started to run low on supplies. It's been rumored that Father Gabriel was responsible for Beth Greene's disappearance on the TV show. Gilliam might not be the only new cast member.

Former UGA football star Chase Vasser tweeted that he landed a role on the show but it has never been confirmed by AMC. E! News also reported that a new character, 17-year-old Burton, would be introduced during the premiere. His character is described as a young boy who lost his leg but "does not let his disability keep him down."
