A handwritten letter from the scene of Kurt Cobain's death has been released by Seattle police following a public information request by CBS News.

The note, found in Cobaine's wallet, was discovered after his alleged suicide and is mostly spent mocking his then-wife Courtney Love, Yahoo News reported.

"Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife," reads the undated letter, written on stationery from San Francisco's Phoenix Hotel. "Even when she's a b--ch with zits and siphoning all yr [sic] money for doping and whoring..."

The handwriting appears to match that of the suicide note left at the scene of Cobain's death, in which he praised his wife as a "goddess" who "sweats ambition and empathy."

Yahoo Music obtained a full copy of the letter from Seattle police, which includes one more sentence: "Will you promise to [expletive] her at least once a week, O.K."

Although the letter's attitude could be speculated as a lover's joke, Love has not commented or offered any explanations.

As the world marked 20th anniversary of his passing, previously confidential pieces of evidence from the suicide, including a clutch of photos, have come out recently.

"The newly revealed letter had been removed by police from Cobain's wallet on April 8, 1994, during investigation at his Seattle home following his death from a self-inflicted gunshot," Yahoo News reported. "The note was logged as evidence but not released until now."

Cobain and Love got married in 1992. Their alleged volatile relationship has been in the news and a fascination for music fans, prompting many to subscribe conspiracy theories that Love somehow contributed to Cobain's demise.

Those allegations are probed in the new docudrama, "Soaked in Bleach," based on the findings of a private investigator hired by Love in 1994. The film is slated for festival release this year, Yahoo News reported.
