Miley Cyrus is postponing her U.S. tour while she recovers from an allergic reaction to antibiotics, but will resume her performances in August, according to ABC News.

Nashville and Louisville mark two more concert stops Cyrus will miss due to her hospitalization, ABC News reported.

Cyrus' representative said the singer will resume the U.S. tour Aug. 1 in Uniondale, New York, ABC News reported. The new dates will include seven rescheduled shows and two additional stops. The European part of the tour is still scheduled to kick off May 2 in Amsterdam.

Cyrus' representative says the singer suffered from a sinus infection last week during her "Bangerz" tour and had "an extreme allergic reaction" to the antibiotic cephalexin on Tuesday, causing the pop star to cancel numerous shows already, according to ABC News.

Existing tickets for the 21-year-old singer's U.S. tour will be honored at the new date, ABC News reported.

Cyrus tweeted "sick of waking up to needles," early Friday morning, according to ABC News. The former Disney Channel star has been hospitalized in Kansas City since Tuesday for an extreme allergic reaction to a prescribed antibiotic, according to her rep.

Rumors begin about what sparked the cancellations and stories of a speculated pregnancy to hard partying were floating around social media sites until Cyrus spoke out about them, ABC News reported.

On Friday Cyrus took to Twitter and addressed the rumors saying: "So many ignorant stories out there no one is reading the official statement and these dumb asses are scaring my fans, Shut the f--- up and let me heal. Stop scaring my family, friends, and fans."
