New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush lead a Fox News poll in possible contenders in the 2016 presidential election, CNN reported.

The poll, released on Wednesday night, specifically asked which Republicans would do best against a potential race against former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

As for the Democrats, Clinton led the poll with 69 percent, followed by other favorites Vice President Joe Biden at 14 percent and U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren with 6 percent.

However, the top potential GOP nominees are less clear, with Christie coming in at 15 percent and Paul and Bush following at 14 percent.

According to the survey, each Republican would lose to Clinton in the race; Clinton would win over Christie 50 percent to 42 percent, over Bush 51 percent to 42 percent, and over Paul 51 percent to 42 percent.

The poll did not ask participants about former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who ran for president in 2008 and has been receiving support in the polls.

The poll was conducted from April 13 to 15 by phone and included 1,102 registered voters. The sampling error is plus or minus three percentage points.
