After "Game of Thrones" Purple Wedding, many fans are wondering what is Sansa Stark's fate.

[Warning: major spoilers ahead]

If you've read George R.R. Martin's novels, you know the Purple Wedding marks the end of Sansa's say in King's Landing. Think about it; the girl has now gone from being the daughter of a traitor to a wife of a murderer. Sansa's life is in danger and the masterminds behind Joffrey's death know they have to get her out of the city.

Moments after the royal wedding disaster, Sansa is wisked away onto a boat to Vale where Petyr Baelish, better known as Littlefinger, meets her, according to the Latin Times. Baelish explains to Sansa what happened to Joffery, revealing he and Olenna plotted to kill the King. Sansa is now wanted in connection with the murder and must pretend to be Baelish's bastard daughter in order to survive instead of telling the truth to her Aunt Lysa Arryn.

Baelish's intentions aren't clear to Sansa, but she does as she tells her. However, if you remember in season 3 of "Game of Thrones" Baelish was plotting to take Sansa as his wife, which the Lannister family unknowingly intercepted. Baelish was always in love with Sansa's mother, Catelyn, who was killed by the Lannisters during the Red Wedding. The older Sansa gets, the more she begins to look like Catelyn, which means trouble for her is ahead.

Purple Wedding director Alex Grave recently revealed to Deadline season four will continue to build on the excitement of the second episode.

"I think that this season is going to be the most exciting season that they've ever done," Graves told Deadline. "I will say that as somebody who directed 4 out of the 10 episodes this year, episode 2 is the smallest episode I directed. It's hard to talk more about it without starting to give away things because the spoilers and the secrets in this season are many and are big."
